Free Mini Lollipop Crochet Pattern

So I found this adorable "Cutie Kirby" pattern on Instagram for FREE by @meow.moclen, and I had to make it! Although I had to translate and figure out some pieces off of a guess lol, it turned out amazing! It said he was holding an apple but I wanted to keep it more on the sweet side so here's where the Mini Lollipop comes in!

  Materials :

3.5 & 4.5 mm hook
Scissors
3 colors of weight 4 worsted
Wooden Dowel
Glue
Darning needle

Abbreviations : US Terminology

MR - Magic Ring
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
inc - increase
inv FO - invisible finish
Rd - Round
ch - chain

Start - Make lollipop x2 (4.5mm)

Rd 1: *Start with color 1* MR, sc, 2 hdc, * to make it look like it's swirling, we will pull up the last loop of color 1, leave OPEN, and grab color 2, just continue in the magic ring for Rd 1, color 2* Color 2, sc, 2 hdc

*Every time you change colors, you leave the other color's last stitch pulled up as if you're walking away from the project so it holds its place*

Rd 2: Color 1, 4 hdc inc, Color 2, 3 hdc inc
Rd 3: Color 1, (hdc, hdc inc) x2, Color 2, (hdc, hdc inc) x2
Rd 4: Color 1, hdc, sc, sl st, inv FO! Color 2: hdc, sc, sl st, inv FO!

* DO NOT SEW TOGETHER YET! *

Stick (3.5mm)

This is where the wooden dowel comes in!
I wanted it to be sturdy and able to sew onto my Kirby plush, so I single crocheted up the entire stick. Then, I glued the ends to be secure leaving a tail for sewing! I started from the bottom up!
You can wrap it and glue it if you prefer or slip stitch it up!

Ribbon (3.5mm)

Ch 40
FO.

Assembly

Line up both sides for the lollipop top, and sew them together starting from where you want the stick to begin. Sew all around, but NOT CLOSED. When you get to the end, where the stick ends, you'll sew the stick to the inside and that should close it! Make sure you pull tightly!

Thank you so much for using my pattern! I want to make a big lollipop pattern! Of course we won't need any wood! Just plenty of stuffing! Let me know if there's anything I missed or need further explaining!
